Weathered Words, 2023.
The sentence ‘Unchanged by time or chance the tree stood against storm and rain’ is accompanied by symbols drawn from the lexicon and usage found in weather charts. These symbols, while visually resembling conventional punctuation marks in written language, serve a dual purpose in blending with written language while carrying different meteorological meanings. For instance, a comma denotes a faint drizzle, while a dot signifies rain on weather charts, illustrating the connection between these symbols and their meteorological counterparts.
